Donald Trump, in characteristic bold, brash style, took to Twitter to send out New Year’s best wishes to all, including those he described as his enemies who lost badly in recent elections and are now floundering on the political scene.
“Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do,” he wrote. “Love!”
Get ready for the whining from the left.
The taunt, mild as it is, will no doubt give liberals and progressives something new to talk about – some new complaint to make about Trump and how his personality is just unfit for White House office. Am I wrong?
Well, good. At least maybe then the far-left, including President Obama, will stop talking about Russian hacks in a way that suggests Trump only won the election based on Vladimir Putin’s and Russia’s aid – and not Hillary Clinton’s failings as a candidate, or Obama’s even bigger progressive-socialist failings as a president.
Now they can instead turn their tongues on discussing just how crass and uncouth Trump is – another favored left-leaning topic – and how his tweet showcases, yet again, his deplorable side.
Well note to far-left: You lost. Go home. Trump won. And so did the basket of his deplorables.
Countdown, January 20. That’s what half of America will be thinking about as the ball drops in New York City. You can count on it.
